This photo course is sold out

Your photography could use a little refreshing and a fresh spark of creativity.

(For photographers who know the basics and want to improve their craft)

Make your photography look and feel better in just 6 weeks!

You know the basics of photography but you want to expand your skills? Than this photo course is for you. Lessons in English/French with lots of hands-on exercises and assignments.

We will research the main photographers and photography styles, and we’ll dive deeper into the technical and creative background during 6 evening lessons and one afternoon weekend lesson.

This course naturally follows on from any basic course you have completed. You already understand the essentials—aperture, shutter speed, and depth of field?

Then it’s the perfect moment to dive deeper and truly explore the world of photography in greater depth, unlocking new creative possibilities and technical skills with professional photographer Sander de Wilde.

Possible Subjects:

Photographers like Winnograd, Martin Parr,

Rinko Kawauchi — Minimalism & Poetic Seeing

Soft, delicate, almost haiku-like photography. Perfect for exploring intuition, colour sensitivity, and finding beauty in the mundane.

Gregory Crewdson — Large-Scale Staged Cinematic Work

Hyper-controlled tableaux with film-set lighting. Ideal for a workshop on constructed reality, lighting direction, and building atmosphere artificially.

Daido Moriyama — Raw Street & Anti-Perfection

Grainy, high-contrast, chaotic street photography. A great way to break participants out of the “clean and correct” habit and explore instinctive shooting.

Zanele Muholi — Identity, Activism & Portraiture

Bold, emotionally charged portraiture tackling identity and representation. Good for portrait workshops that dig into meaning, not just technique.

Cindy Sherman — Constructed Identity & Self-Performance

USA The queen of staged photography. Her work pushes participants to question authorship, persona, and the boundary between documentary and fiction.

Sophie Calle — Conceptual Narrative Work

France She blends photography, text, performance, and investigation. Ideal for teaching participants how to turn ideas into complete photographic projects.

Cristina de Middel — Playful Documentary & Fiction Hybrids

Spain/Mexico She mixes reality and imagination with humour and colour. Great for pushing photographers to rethink “truth,” staging, and narrative structure.

Hellen van Meene — Intimate Portraiture & Natural Light

Netherlands Known for quiet, painterly portraits of adolescents, using only available light and minimal direction. A strong reference for working intuitively with people.

On a technical level you will get more info and experience in;
