Learn Analog photography with Sander.
Slow down and make photography tangible again. In eight evenings you learn to shoot manually with a 35mm camera, develop your own negatives in chemical baths, and print your own silver gelatin prints under red darkroom light. Small group, maximum 8 participants, personal guidance by a working photojournalist.
Who is it for?
Complete beginners and casual shooters. No experience needed - just curiosity. Camera loan possible.

Well, if you can use one of your friends, parents, grandparents, that would be great, but you can also rent an analog camera during the course.

Yes, even if you have never heard of aperture, you can really learn photography with a fully manual camera. Sander will share the basics of photography (they’re the same for all cameras since 1827) and you will learn to see as a photographer.

Professional guidance, all materials like chemicals, enlargers, test papers, one b&w negative film, and the entire darkroom also during open darkroom nights. You can show your work at the expo night, and you’ll even get an official certificate after every course.

No problem whatsoever. All classes are being repeated the next class, and I guide you individually depending on your level.

These courses focus on black and white photography, developing and printing. It is always good to refresh your skills, and I focus very often on what photography is. So you’ll always learn a lot!

The first few lessons are at GC Elzenhof, Kroonlaan 12 Ixelles. The darkroom lessons are at the same street, down at Usquare, Kroonlaan 227, Ixelles.
