You know your camera. Now learn to make deliberate photographs. Deep Focus is an eight-week course for photographers who finished a beginner course and want the next step: rethinking exposure as a creative choice, working in RAW, editing with intent, and building a personal series instead of collecting loose shots. Ends with your series screened at the spring exhibition at GC Elzenhof.
Who is it for?
Alumni of any of my courses, the street course, the analog course or Learn to See - or anyone with a solid beginner level who wants honest, detailed feedback.
The DEEP FOCUS program
The mirror - Look back at your own work and difficulties
Back to Exposure as a choice - deliberate over- and underexposure, depth of field, speed
RAW & the pixel - why your JPGs are holding you back, assignment
Editing I - culling and sequencing: the courage to delete
Editing II - crop, colour, conversion with taste
Editing III - local adjustments, retouching and using AI tools with restraint
The series - finish a ten-image story on a Brussels assignment
Final edit - group review and selection for the exhibition/show
