Feedback on:

There are many ways to get feedback on your street photography. For example, by posting your photos on social media. Unfortunately, the comments on Instagram, Facebook, and the like are sometimes anything but respectful. You also often don't know how knowledgeable the commenter is. Asking friends and acquaintances for feedback is only of limited use, because they don't want to hurt your feelings and may find it difficult to say what they really think of your work.

Benefits of feedback on your photography

You refine your skills in composition, framing, lighting, and post-processing.

An independent perspective can reveal blind spots in your own work.

You will be inspired to try out new techniques and angles.

Gain more confidence and insight into your own work.

You may come up with new ideas for future photos.

Who is this feedback intended for?

All photographers with a passion for street photography who are looking for creative growth.

Students working on a thesis or school assignment.

Any photographer seeking the insight of an experienced and objective eye.

Photographers who want to select work for a competition or exhibition.

Both beginners and experienced photographers can benefit from this.

How does it work?

Select the number of photos you would like feedback on above. After receiving your order, you will receive an email within 24 hours with a few questions about your work. Tip: you can send as many photos as you like, but 20 photos will give a better impression of your ideas and skills than 10.

The email will contain the email address to which you can send the photos. Send the photos as jpg files (not raw). We recommend using Wetransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox or a similar service so that you don't have to compress the images further.

Once Sander has reviewed your work, you will receive a detailed response by email. The criticism is clearly formulated, constructive, and substantiated, and aims to inspire you and draw your attention to what could be improved or done differently.

If the feedback raises any questions, you can respond to them and you may receive further clarification.

  • Feedback on 5 photos, Feedback on 10 photos, Feedback on 20 photos, Feedback on 40 photos

  • Would you like feedback on more than 40 photos? Send us a message via the contact page and we will find a solution.

  • If you send them via a service such as TransferNow, you can usually make them as large as you want. It is recommended not to compress them too much, so that the image quality is preserved as much as possible.

  • This is definitely recommended. Photo software is like the darkroom of the past. You can use it to improve the exposure or colors, for example, and thus emphasize what you find important. Incidentally, saving as a jpg is always a form of editing.

  • No, raw files are not assessed. Because camera manufacturers use different systems for raw files, software packages from other manufacturers can sometimes have problems reading raw files correctly. Therefore, save your images as jpg before sending them.

  • By this we mean technical data such as ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. These are often already linked to a file and are sent along with it. You do not need to mention them separately. Metadata plays a limited role in the assessment of street photography.

  • You decide which photos to send. They can also be photos you are unsure about.

  • Depending on the number of photos and the purpose of the feedback, it may take 1 to 2 weeks before you receive the feedback. If there is a delay, for example due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified.
