Forget the Postcards: Venice Unscripted
See Venice and mass tourism in another light.
A One-Day Masterclass with Photojournalist Sander de Wilde
Venice in late June is a chaotic, beautiful mess. Most photographers get trapped in the crowds at Rialto, shooting the same cliché bridge shots everyone else has.
Don't be that photographer.
I’m taking a tiny group (max 5) into the heart of the real Venice. We aren't here for the postcards; we’re here for the raw, unscripted human moments that 99% of tourists walk right past.
Why this is different:
This isn't a "photo walk." This is an intensive masterclass in visual storytelling. As a photojournalist for international media, I’ll show you how I "hunt" for the decisive moment in harsh summer light and how to navigate the crowds to find the quiet, powerful stories in the back alleys.
To ensure personal guidance and a low profile on the streets, spots are strictly limited to 5 photographers per session.
Choose Your Session (or combine them for the Full Immersion):
Choose Your Mission:
- The Morning Session: "Venice Awakening" (07:30-11:30) — €195 Capture the city before the cruise ships land. It’s about the workers, the markets, and the soft, golden light.
- The Afternoon Session: "Shadows & Chiaroscuro" (16:30-20:30) — €195 We use the intense sun to create high-contrast theater. Think deep shadows, silhouettes, and geometric perfection. Ends with a Venetian Aperitivo (on me).
- The Full Immersion — €340 (Save €50) Total mastery. From first light to final drink. Includes a pre-trip interview and a post-trip online review of your best shots.
Only 5 spots per session. Once they’re gone, Venice goes back to being a postcard.
Colors
Though I mostly advise to shoot in black and white, the colours will be in your RAW file.

Venice in Contrast: Small-Group Street Photography Workshop
With Photojournalist Sander de Wilde
Venice in June is a trap. 🇮🇹
It’s hot, it’s crowded, and if you have a camera, it’s tempting to just point it at a bridge and call it a day. But those photos have been taken a billion times already.
How do you find your own voice in a city that’s been "seen" to death?
This isn't a tour. It’s a masterclass in seeing.
Only 5 spots per session. Grab one before the heat takes over.
