Spend one unforgettable week in July learning analog street photography and hands-on darkroom printing — in the heart of Brussels. This intensive workshop is designed for young adults who want to move beyond filters and pixels, to capture life on the street with film, sharpen their eye for story, and print their own images in a real darkroom.
Why this week is for you
Learn analog from start to finish: film choice, exposure, manual camera controls, and b&w and color roll handling.
Master street storytelling: composition, timing, light, and respectful approaches to shooting people in urban spaces.
Hands-on printing: develop negatives, make contact sheets, and craft silver gelatin prints under expert guidance.
Small groups, big attention: limited spots for focused coaching, personalized feedback, and plenty of shooting time.
Practical, playful approach: serious skills taught with a relaxed, encouraging vibe — bring curiosity and we’ll handle the rest.
What you’ll gain
Confidence shooting film on the street and making creative decisions on the fly.
A technical foundation in film exposure, metering, manual focus, and camera mechanics.
Darkroom competency: developing negatives, dodging and burning, and producing archival prints you can take home.
A mini-portfolio of 10–15 strong analog images and at least 10 finished prints.
New friends, a creative community, and a practiced eye for visual stories in urban life.
Who should join
Ages: targeted at young adults eager to learn analog photography (beginner to intermediate levels welcome).
Bring curiosity more than experience. A working film camera is useful but not required — limited loaners available.
Ideal for aspiring photographers, visual storytellers, and anyone who loves tactile craft and urban life.
