With the release of Ira Sachs’ new film "Peter Hujar's Day" on August 19th in Belgium, there has never been a better time to rediscover the intimacy of the square-format portrait. Join photographer Sander de Wilde for an exclusive two-day journey into the heart of 1970s New York aesthetics, relocated to the raw charm of Brussels.

We’ll work inspired on his life and work, and on the movie coming out this August. The film stars Ben Whishaw as photographer Peter Hujar and Rebecca Hall as writer Linda Rosenkrantz.

Saturday 22 and 29 August we’ll dive deep into portrait photography. Every students get a twin lens analog camera to use, and we use typical models to pose in front of our lenses.
