Through many hours of workshops, you will gain a deeper understanding of street photography techniques, storytelling, and the art of capturing interesting moments in bustling cityscapes.

Your Work, On the Wall
Most workshops end with a goodbye. Ours ends with a vernissage. Select your best work, print it professionally, and invite your friends to your own exhibition at GC Elzenhof.
Included are many weekend walks, and bold reviews of your work, where you gain insight in how to read photography and oppose criticism. We learn from other street shooters, and we end the series with a real exhibition of your best work at the Cultural Center of Ixelles.
Don't just take photos—exhibit them
Last street photography exhibition at GC Elzenhof.
Is this you?
You love taking photos, but feel awkward pointing your camera at strangers?
You walk through the city but struggle to find "the shot"?
You understand the technical settings but your photos lack "soul"?
"This workshop fixes that.
Following a street photography project over many weeks unlocks a unique and immersive experience. It’s not just about a single moment , but a rich tapestry of stories unfolding over time. You witness the subtle rhythms of urban life, the changing light, the evolving moods, and the spontaneous interactions that reveal the soul of a city.
By following consistently, you develop a deeper connection with the photographer’s vision and style. You start to see recurring themes, hidden details, and the playful creativity that transforms everyday scenes into compelling visual narratives. It’s a journey that sharpens your eye, enhances your appreciation for the unexpected, and invites you to participate in the unfolding story.
In short, committing to a street photography series offers a rewarding, dynamic experience that an isolated image simply can’t match. I
t’s an invitation to see the world anew, one street at a time, through the lens of a storyteller who’s passionate about capturing life’s unposed moments. You!

You’re happy to use any camera you have on hand. Street photographers often prefer small cameras, compacts or even a smartphone for their low profile, but truly any camera will do. It’s more about you — how you observe and respond to the world around you — than about who owns the fanciest gear.

Even if you can’t make every theory lesson or photo walk, you still have the chance to learn. Sander uses a WhatsApp group and a shared cloud drive to keep everyone connected. The group shares their work, we chat about good spots, suggest exercises and recommend exhibitions worth visiting. You’re free to go out and shoot on your own at other times too. In fact, the more you practice whenever you can, the steeper and faster your learning curve will be.
